A unique dining experience coming to the Quadrangle
A brand new steak restaurant that will wow diners with not only its food but its dining experience, is set to open in the Quadrangle in the spring.
Şef (pronounced chef) Steakhouse is an independent restaurant which is owned and run by Metin Civlak, who lives in Cheltenham, Mert Aras and Kaan Kucukagalar.
Bringing with them a total of 30 years restaurant experience gained from setting up and running eateries in Turkey and Kuwait, Şef will marry delicious food in a stylish setting with a sense of theatre. Food will be cooked over charcoal and the kitchen will be visible to diners with dishes also finished at the table.
“We’re very much looking forward to bringing the Şef experience to Cheltenham,” said Metin. “It’s something that will be unique to the town and the Quadrangle is the perfect setting; a stylish building in a central location. We’ll be serving the finest cuts of meat along with a menu of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, including cocktails, and will be using local suppliers where possible.
“So whether you’re looking to grab a quick bite for lunch, have dinner with friends or family or enjoy a cocktail after work, we’ve got something for everyone. And diners can expect a visual treat as well as a culinary one, whether that’s in the restaurant or outside on the terrace. It will be our first UK restaurant and we’re thrilled that it’s Cheltenham that will get to experience it.”
BPE Solicitors advised Şef Steakhouse on the lease while ARC Retail and Leisure Property Consultants acted as agent for Şef Steakhouse. Hartnell Taylor Cook (HTC) and John Ryde Commercial acted for the landlord.
“The arrival of Şef means that all retail spaces at the Quadrangle are now occupied,” said James Woodard from HTC. “It’s set to be a fantastic restaurant that brings something different to Cheltenham. Not only does the fit-out look like it will be modern and elegant, but the menu will give diners an experience that’s like nothing else currently available in town.”
Şef Steakhouse will seat 95 inside and 50 outside on the terrace. The restaurant will be open for lunch and dinner seven days a week with late night opening on Friday and Saturday.
